A young man was arrested with 400 piece of yaba tablets during a special drive in Akhaura upazila by Akhaura Police Station on Saturday.
The arrested man is Md Rabbil, alias Rabbi, 24, of Uttar Ati (Ramdhannagar) area in Akhaura upazila.
According to a press release issued by the police, the arrest was made during a special operation conducted over the previous 24 hours. Police set up a checkpoint on the Akhaura-Azampur road in front of the Noore Madina Jame Mosque in the Durgapur area of Akhaura municipality at around 7:30PM on Friday. During the operation, they arrested Rabbil and recovered 400 yaba tablets from his possession.
Police seized the recovered yaba pills and filed a case against him under the Narcotics Control Act. He was later produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.
