NRBC Bank holds Barishal zone town hall meeting

NRBC Bank PLC held its Barishal Zone Town Hall Meeting 2026 on Saturday at the Barishal Club. The meeting was graced by the Chairman of the Bank, Md Ali Hossain Prodhania, as the Chief Guest.

The event was presided over by the Managing Director and CEO, Dr Md TouhidulAlam Khan. The Special Guests included Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Md Nurul Haque; Chairman of the Audit Committee Muhammad Emdad Ullah, Independent Directors MdAbul Bashar and Md Anwar Hossain and Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer Md Shaheen Howlader, says a press release.

The meeting was attended by Md Abdul Halim, Head of Khulna and Barishal Zones, along with branch managers, sub-branch managers, and officials from all branches and sub-branches across the Barishal region.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Md Ali Hossain Prodhania said NRBC Bank has emerged as one of the country's leading fourth-generation banks, with steady growth in performing assets, operating income and profit. He urged greater focus on loan disbursement and recovery, microfinance expansion, Bangla QR, digital banking, e-loans and remittance services.

Managing Director and CEO Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, said the Barishal region has strong potential to boost low-cost deposits and urged officials to strengthen the Bank's retail deposit base and recover non-performing loans. He also called for expanding Bangla QR services to small businesses and roadside tea stalls to support the government's cashless Bangladesh initiative.
