An 82-year-old Israeli man, who was injured in an Iranian missile attack, has died. The victim, Michael Katz, was seriously injured when an Iranian missile hit the port city of Haifa on April 5. Four others were killed in the same attack.
Rambam Hospital in Haifa confirmed his death on Wednesday (July 15). He passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital. His funeral is likely to take place this Thursday.
Haifa municipal authorities stated that Michael Katz worked at Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense Systems for several decades. He contributed significantly to Israel's security.
Michael Katz's wife, Nina, was also injured in the Iranian missile attack. However, she survived.
Earlier on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran. In response, Iran launched a massive retaliatory strike on Israel.
Additionally, Iran fired drones and missiles targeting US infrastructure in Gulf Arab countries in retaliation for the US strikes.
