More than 20 warships and hundreds of military aircrafts have been deployed across the Middle East by the US. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed this information on Wednesay (July 15).
News agency Anadolu said, President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that American attacks are going to be intensified in the coming days. ‘We are hitting them very hard,’ Trump said that on an interview with the Fox News. He added, ‘Everything they have along the coast and shoreline is being targeted. The attacks will continue until I say stop.’
When asked if energy installations were being considered as targets, Trump said, ‘I am saving the energy facilities for last. But eventually, they will be hit too.’
Trump claimed Iran has no choice but to sign a deal. He revealed that US representatives had contacted Iranian officials just an hour before his interview.
He noted, ‘I previously thought about imposing a fee there (Strait of Hormuz). But instead, Gulf countries want to invest heavily in the US, which felt like a better option. I don't like the idea of fees. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open to everyone. Otherwise, others will start doing the same.’
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Tuesday that they launched attacks in Bahrain and Kuwait, destroying several US weapons and drones.
