BGB deployed in Gopalganj to strengthen security

GOPALGANJ, July 15: BGB has been deployed in the district to strengthen security ahead of July 16.
BGB members have started patrolling important areas of the town since Wednesday morning. RAB and police are also patrolling jointly with them.

Police check posts have been set up at various important points in the town. Law enforcement members are also on duty in plain clothes.

It is worth mentioning that on July 16, 2025, 5 people were killed in a clash between law enforcement forces and Awami League leaders and activists during the NCP march in Gopalganj. 

Basically, the law and order situation has been strengthened in Gopalganj due to the fear that any kind of unpleasant situation may be created and law and order may deteriorate on this day.
