Dear Sir,
The devastating floods in south-eastern Bangladesh, including Chattogram, have affected more than one million people, claimed over 44 lives and left countless families without food, safe drinking water, medicines and shelter. Although floodwaters are receding in some areas, many people are still living in inundated conditions. The floods have also damaged agricultural land, livestock and fisheries, while disrupting the education of thousands of students by forcing the postponement of HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board.
At this critical time, it is our moral responsibility to support the affected people according to our ability. We can donate relief supplies or financial assistance through trusted humanitarian organisations and volunteer in relief efforts.
We should also share only verified information about the disaster. Spreading rumours or unverified content creates confusion and weakens public confidence in relief initiatives.
Standing beside flood victims is not only an act of compassion but also a social responsibility. Let us unite to support the affected people, as even a small contribution can bring hope and help them rebuild their lives.
