A day-long training programme on procurement and sustainable business development for small women entrepreneurs was held at the Nari Unnayan Shakti (NUS) Training Centre in Banasree, Dhaka, on Saturday.
Organised by Young Women for Development Rights and Climate (YWDRC) in collaboration with Nari Unnayan Shakti (NUS), the programme aimed to strengthen the capacity of small women entrepreneurs by promoting good business governance and sustainable entrepreneurship.
The training was led by YWDRC Executive Chairperson Nusrat Sultana Afroj, with sessions conducted by NUS Executive Director Dr. Afroja Pravin, Forum for Culture and Human Development (FCHD) Executive Director Dr. Sultan Muhammad Razzak, and Global Workforce Services (GWS) Coordinator Abdul Momin.
Participants received practical training on bookkeeping, accounting, customer relationship management (CRM), communication, procurement, and business development to improve business management skills and enhance sustainability.
Speakers at the closing session highlighted the importance of financial management, transparent procurement, effective communication, and business development in empowering women entrepreneurs and contributing to Bangladesh's sustainable economic growth.
The participants thanked the organisers and urged them to hold similar training programmes regularly to further strengthen the skills and competitiveness of small women entrepreneurs.
