FF Lal passes away at Sarankhola

SARANKHOLA, BAGERHAT, July 18: Nazrul Islam Lal, senior commander of the Sundarban sub-sector under Sector No. 9 in the Liberation War, passed away while undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital early Saturday. He was 85. He passed away just 10 days after his wife’s death. 

Freedom Fighter (FF) Nazrul Islam Lal was the founding secretary of Upazila BNP and also served as the convener of Upazila BNP. Before his death, he donated a large part of his personal land to a local orphanage.

According to the family sources of the deceased, his Namaz-e-Janaza was held after the Asr prayers at his village Amragachhia. Later, he was buried in the family graveyard with state honour.
