Youth killed in Noakhali road mishap

NOAKHALI, July 24: A young man died in an accident in the Kutirbari area of the Senbag-Sonaimuri road in Senbag Upazila of the district on Thursday night.

Deceased Md Al Amin, 30, was the son of Abbas Qari of Chhatarpaiya Paschim-Dakkhinpara Village in Chhatarpaiya Union of the upazila.

Locals said that Al Amin used to look after their drug store business in Chhatarpaiya Bazar with his father and brother. 

He got married last Monday. 

On his way home from Sonaimuri on a motorcycle, his motorcycle collided with a battery-powered auto-rickshaw in the Kutirbari area on Thursday night and he was seriously injured. 

Locals took him to Senbag Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. 

Officer-in-Charge of Senbag Police Station Abdur Rahim Sarkar said that the body has been handed over to the family as there are no complaints.
