Young man found hanging at abandoned Sudhasadan residence in Dhanmondi

A 20-year-old man was found hanging inside Sudhasadan, the abandoned Dhanmondi residence of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, police said on Saturday.
The body was recovered at around 11:00 am from the house on Road No. 5 in Dhanmondi and later sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The deceased was identified as Md Shakil (20), son of Sekandar Ali Matubbar of the Shibpurtali Office area in Jigatala, Mohammadpur.
Sub-Inspector Mohammad Waduzzaman of Dhanmondi Police Station said police recovered the body after receiving information from locals that an unidentified young man was hanging inside the abandoned residence.
He said the victim's identity was later confirmed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) through fingerprint analysis.
Police said the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report is received. Legal proceedings are underway.
