One killed as truck smashes motorcycle in Barishal

The accident took place around 12:45AM in front Amitra Consumer Food products on the Dhaka-Barishal highway in Madhabpasha Union of the upazila.

According to local people, the motorcycle was passing through the highway when the Dhaka bound truck struck it, leaving Rohit severely injured. Rohit was taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Police seized the truck and the damaged motorcycle following the accident. 

Officer in-charge of Uzirpur Police Station, S.M. Sayeed Hossain, said the body has been sent for autopsy and legal action will be taken once the victim’s family files a case.
