The organisers said the fair would remain open to visitors every day from 9am to 9pm until August 13.
A large variety of saplings are available at the stalls, offering visitors an opportunity to choose plants suitable for homesteads, gardens and agricultural land.
Officials and organisers urged residents to plant more trees and take proper care of them to help protect the environment and maintain ecological balance.
The fair is expected to attract people of different age groups, particularly students and families, while providing local nursery owners and plant traders with an opportunity to showcase and sell their saplings.
