Police personnel have been withdrawn from in the front of Allama Kashgari (R) Hall at Dhaka's Madrasah-e-Alia.
However, leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) have taken positions inside the residential hall.
The overall situation at the hall remains normal as of Saturday (August 8).
This scenario was witnessed on Saturday afternoon in front of Kashgari Hall at Bakshibazar in the capital.
On-spot reports showed that the main gate of the hall has been opened. General students are entering and leaving the hall after completing their necessary tasks.
However, JCD leaders and activists are staying at the main entrance gate.
Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir were scheduled to enter the hall at 12:30PM. But no one was seen there until 1:15PM.
Former General Secretary of Dhaka Madrasah-e-Aliah JCD Zahidur Rahman Joynal said, "They (Chhatra Shibir) have bloodied our brothers. They looted us. We demand justice for this through a proper investigation."
He added, "Our 35 laptops and Tk 50,000 were stolen. These must be returned through an investigation. Today, we are observing a peaceful position program against Shibir."
JCD activist Saad Chowdhury said, "We have instructions from the central committee to maintain a peaceful position. We do not want conflict. But any kind of extremist behavior will not be tolerated."
