7 ASPs, 49 inspectors sent into force retirement

The government has sent seven assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) and 49 police inspectors into force retirement.

The information was disclosed in a notification issued by the Police-1 branch of the Home Ministry on Thursday.

According to the notification, the 49 officials serving in Bangladesh Police have completed 25 years of service. They have therefore retired from government service in the public interest under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.

The notification was signed by Home Ministry Senior Secretary Manzur Morshed Chowdhury on behalf of the President.

The retired officers are ASP Nure Alam Siddiqui of RAB Headquarters; Assistant Commissioner (AC-Patrol) Md Nurul Mottakin of the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police; ASP Kazi Wazed Ali of Matiranga Circle in Khagrachhari; ASP Md Syeduzzaman of Galachipa Circle in Patuakhali; ASP Md Golam Kibria of RAB-2; ASP Mohammad Mizanur Rahman of the Dhaka Reserve Police Force (RRF); and ASP Md Rabiul Islam of Sirajganj district.

In addition, 49 police inspectors have also been sent into compulsory retirement. They were working in various units, including districts across the country, metropolitan police, CID, PBI, SB, RAB, APBN, Tourist Police, Naval Police, Railway Police and training centres.
