Import and export activities through Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh and Fulbari land port in India remain suspended on Saturday (August 15) for one day.
The trade operations were halted due to a public holiday celebrating the 80th Independence Day of India.
All kinds of product trading, including stone imports, will stay suspended from morning till afternoon today. However, cross-border movement of passport-holding travelers between both countries remains normal.
Zillur Rahman, office assistant-cum-computer operator at the Banglabandha Land Port Plant Quarantine Centre, confirmed the matter on Friday night.
Port authorities said regular import-export operations will resume through the port on Sunday morning (August 16).
