Ex-banker killed in N’ganj road mishap

NARAYANGANJ, Aug 15: A former Sonali Bank official named Azizul Haque, 85, son of late Hossain Ali Sheikh of the Jalkuri area, was killed after being hit by a motorcycle at around 8:30 am on Saturday in the Jalkuri Taltola area under Siddhirganj Police Station.

Citing locals, the police said that seriously injured Azizul Haque was first taken to the 300-bed Khanpur Hospital in the city and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was declared dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Siddhirganj Police Station Mohammad Emdadul Haque said the deceased’s family’s appeal for the handover of the body without an autopsy is being verified and necessary action is being taken as per the legal process.
