Crude bombs targeted at Satkhira BNP office, 2 recovered

Unidentified miscreants exploded a crude bomb in front of the Bharashimla Union BNP office under Kaliganj upazila of the district on Saturday night (August 15).
Police also recovered two unexploded bomb-like objects from the scene.
Local sources said the blast occurred around 11:45 PM, spreading panic among residents and local party leaders.
Bharashimla Union BNP General Secretary Sohel Rana said miscreants targeted the party office under cover of night. Locals gathered at the spot soon after the loud explosion.
Upon receiving information, a team from Kaliganj Police Station, led by Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Sahidul Islam Hawlader and Sub-Inspector Matin, visited the spot alongside Fire Service personnel.
Security forces secured the area and retrieved the two unexploded objects early Sunday morning (August 15).
OC Sahidul Islam Hawlader said no case has been filed yet in connection with the incident, but police are investigating the matter.
