Headless body recovered from Dhaleshwari

Police recovered the headless body of an unidentified young girl from the Dhaleshwari River in Manikganj Sadar upazila on Sunday evening.
The body was spotted floating near the riverbank in the Charkrishnapur area of the upazila.
According to locals, residents noticed the body floating near the Charkrishnapur ghat around noon. Upon closer inspection, they discovered that the corpse lacked a head and immediately alerted the police. The gruesome discovery created widespread panic and drew curious crowds to the scene.
Manikganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monir Hossain said, "police teams rushed to the spot upon receiving the information and recovered the body with the assistance of locals by evening."
The OC added that efforts are currently underway to establish the identity of the deceased. Meanwhile, the body has been sent to the Manikganj Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
