RAB raids hideout, recovers arms

RAB-11 recovered a pistol, magazine and other equipment from an alleged criminal hideout in Fatullah, Narayanganj.
According to RAB, the alleged criminals had set up a base on one floor and were preparing to monitor law enforcement movements using CCTV cameras. A Type-54 (7.62mm) pistol, one magazine and two slingshots were also recovered.
An under-construction building in the Katherpul-Ramabag area of Fatullah was being used as a hideout by alleged robbers and drug dealers.
Acting on a tip-off, RAB-11 raided the site around 12:30 AM on Sunday and recovered a 7.62mm pistol magazine reportedly looted from a police station during the July uprising, along with CCTV cameras, a router and other equipment.
According to RAB, the alleged criminals had set up a base on one floor and were preparing to monitor law enforcement movements using CCTV cameras. A Type-54 (7.62mm) pistol, one magazine and two slingshots were also recovered.
The suspects fled after noticing the RAB operation. The recovered items were handed over to Fatullah Police Station for legal action.
