2027 Alim exam questions to follow revised Arabic textbook

Questions for the 2027 Alim examination will be prepared based on the revised edition of the Arabic textbook Al-Lughatul Arabiyatul Ittisaliyya, the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has said.

The revised edition has been published for students of the 2025�"26 academic session, and the board has instructed them to prepare for the examination using the updated textbook.

The instruction was issued in a recent notice signed by Prof FM Shakirullah, publication controller of the board. Al Fatah Publications has been named the sole distributor of the revised edition.

According to the board, several irrelevant pieces of information from the previous edition have been removed or revised. The textbook has also been updated to reflect the aspirations, values and national goals associated with the July Revolution.

Several chapters and lessons have been rearranged. The fourth chapter of the previous edition has been moved to Chapter Nine, while the second lesson of the previous ninth chapter has been moved to the second lesson of Chapter Four.

The first and third lessons of the new Chapter Four have also been added. Various factual errors have been corrected while retaining the textbook’s core content, the notice said.

The board has asked principals of all concerned madrasahs to ensure that students prepare for the 2027 Alim examination using the revised edition.
