NILS AIUB Chapter holds seminar on newspaper article writing

The NILS AIUB Chapter organized a seminar titled 'Basics of Newspaper Article Writing' at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) campus on August 3 to enhance students' effective writing skills.
The seminar provided participants with practical insights into the essential techniques and principles of writing professional newspaper articles.
AIUB Law Department Lecturer and NILS AIUB Chapter Advisor Md Muhtasim Faiaz delivered the opening speech. He emphasized the importance of co-curricular activities, the chapter's commitment to developing students' practical skills, and the relevance of effective newspaper writing in strengthening law students' research, analytical, and communication skills.
Lecturer at the Department of English and Modern Languages of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) and former Assistant Editor of ‘The Daily Ittefaq’ HM Nazmul Alam was the keynote speaker.
Drawing from his extensive professional experience, HM Nazmul Alam shared practical techniques, industry insights, and core principles of newspaper article writing during an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session with participants.
AIUB Law Department Head Dr Robayet Ferdous Syed, Assistant Professor and NILS AIUB Chapter Advisor Ms Rostoma Begum Chaudhury, and Lecturer Md Jahedul Islam jointly organized the event.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks by Lecturer Md Jahedul Islam, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker and participants for their contributions and active engagement.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to organizing further academic, co-curricular, and skill-development initiatives to support students in strengthening their practical knowledge, communication skills, and professional competencies.
