Three muggers sentenced to death in N’ganj

A Narayanganj court on Monday sentenced three muggers to death for killing Wazed Alam Shimanto, a student of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), here in 2024.

Narayanganj District and Sessions’ Judge Abu Shamim Azad pronounced the verdict.

The condemned convicts are Anik, Akash Khan and Chandi Babu.

According to the prosecution, three muggers intercepted Shimanto, a 2nd year student of the AIUB Department of Computer Science, in front of Morgan Girls’ High School at Deubhog of Narayanganj city around 6:00am on December 12, 2024.
