Two children died with measles symptoms and 880 children were affected by measles or measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS said in its updated measles report issued on Saturday that no child died from confirmed measles during the period.
Since March 15, a total of 831 children have died with measles symptoms, while 99 have died from confirmed measles, taking the combined death toll to 930.
Of the 880 new cases reported in the past 24 hours, 65 were confirmed measles cases and 815 had measles symptoms. During the period, 758 children were admitted to hospitals and 593 were discharged.
Since March 15, the country has recorded 148,406 suspected measles cases and 18,273 confirmed cases. A total of 129,583 patients have been hospitalised, of whom 125,151 have been discharged.
