Meetings, gatherings banned in different Dhaka areas

The third session of the 13th National Parliament is going to start on August 27.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the session, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned meetings, gatherings, processions and demonstrations in various areas of the capital.

The ban will come into effect from midnight on Wednesday and remain in place until the session ends.

The restriction was announced in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Md Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Monday.
