A mobile court in Dinajpur fined four clinics and diagnostic centres a total of Tk 50,000 during an inspection.
The operation was carried out from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday led by Dinajpur District Acting Civil Surgeon Dr Md Golam Rasul Raki, with the assistance of the district administration and police.
The drive was conducted at Best Care Diagnostic Center and Hospital Ltd, Nakshi Diagnostic Center, Mohona Clinic and Prime Point Diagnostic Center in Dinajpur city.
Best Care Diagnostic Center and Hospital Ltd was fined Tk 20,000, while Nakshi Diagnostic Center, Mohona Clinic and Prime Point Diagnostic Center were each fined Tk 10,000.
According to the Civil Surgeon’s Office, the four facilities were fined for various irregularities, including failure to ensure a hygienic and standard environment in laboratories, expired reagents, lack of refrigerators, absence of pharmacists, failure to renew licences, having more beds than approved, absence of doctors and nurses at all times, failure to properly clean clinical waste and lack of proper waste management.
The authorities also instructed the facilities to rectify all irregularities within seven days.
