Apu Biswas stranded in Nepal, wants to return safely to her child

Popular actress Apu Biswas travelled to Nepal in the first week of this month for the shooting of her upcoming film Shikar. However, severe disruption to road communications caused by flooding in the country has forced her to change her return plans. 

According to the latest decision, the actress will return to Bangladesh tomorrow evening. She is scheduled to leave Nepal for Dhaka on a 6:00 PM flight tomorrow.

The death toll from sudden flooding in Nepal has risen to more than 270, with hundreds of people still missing. The flash floods on Wednesday (August 26) completely destroyed roads, bridges and several power projects.

Apu Biswas said, “I am in Pokhara and I am safe where I am. However, the highway from Pokhara to Kathmandu has been severely damaged. I have learned that it may take about a month to repair the road. Our vehicle has been arranged. We will travel to Kathmandu tomorrow. There is a lot of pressure on flights. I will return to Dhaka from Kathmandu on a flight tomorrow (Friday, August 28).”

Speaking about the situation in Nepal, Apu Biswas said, “Please don’t worry about me. I ask everyone to pray so that I can return home safely to my child.”

Earlier, Apu Biswas had drawn fans’ attention by sharing several photos from Nepal during the film’s shooting. Her posts featured both Nepal’s natural beauty and various moments from the actress’s shooting schedule.
