Abdul Bari calls for BNP unity ahead of UP polls

JOYPURHAT, Aug 29: State Minister for Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari, MP, has said local government elections are crucial for protecting people's rights.

"To ensure victory in the upcoming Union Parishad (UP) elections, BNP candidates and their supporters must work unitedly in the field by mobilising the people. Our main goal is to strengthen the party by putting aside all differences and stand by the people," he said.

The state minister was speaking at a discussion meeting organised by Joypurhat District BNP on the upcoming local government elections at Eso Carnival in the Madrasa Para area of Joypurhat town on Friday afternoon.

Joypurhat District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Prodhan and Joint Convener MA Wahab were present at the meeting.

Leaders and activists of Joypurhat District BNP and its various affiliated organisations also attended the programme.
The speakers discussed the party's strategies and organisational preparations for the upcoming Union Parishad elections in detail.
