27 deputy secretaries appointed as deputy directors in DC offices

The government has transferred and posted 27 deputy secretary-level officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre as deputy directors (local government) at various district commissioners’ (DC) offices across the country.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday through its Deputation-2 branch. Deputy Secretary Md Golam Rabbani signed the notification.

According to the notification, the services of the appointed officers will remain attached to the Local Government Division. They have been instructed to join their new workplaces by September 3. If any officer fails to join the new workplace on the specified date, they will be considered immediately released, or “stand released,” from their current positions that afternoon.

The officers and their new postings are as follows:

The Ministry of Public Administration said the order, issued in the public interest, would take effect immediately. The concerned officers have been instructed to ensure that they join their new workplaces within the stipulated time.

Copies of the notification have been sent to the Cabinet Secretary, senior secretaries and secretaries of the concerned ministries and divisions, divisional commissioners, relevant deputy commissioners and district magistrates, and other concerned offices.

The ministry also instructed that the notification be published in the Bangladesh Gazette and on the Ministry of Public Administration’s website.
