Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 506 people and filed 40 cases during its regular anti-crime operations in the capital over the past 24 hours.

On Sunday (September 27), the arrests were made by different DMP units, with the Mirpur division accounting for the highest number at 114, followed by Tejgaon with 99 and Motijheel with 68.

During the operations, police recovered 400 grams of cannabis, 4,314 yaba tablets, two switchgear knives, a banner, six masks, 11 mobile phones, Tk 5,100 and a victim.

The arrests were made during raids in different police station areas of the capital. Legal proceedings against the detainees are underway.
