CUET celebrates 24th University Day

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, was present as the chief guest at the discussion organised at the university central auditorium. CUET Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem chaired the event.

Chattogram-6 (Raozan) Constituency MP Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury and Ir. Dr. Mohammad Azuwan bin Maoinser, Chairman of the Petroleum Engineering Department of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia, were present as guests of honour at the event.

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, said, “Many changes are happening all over the world. We have to adapt to these changes. Otherwise, the world will leave us long before us, and we will be left behind.”

In the speech of the guest of honour, Ir. Dr. Mohammad Azuwan bin Maoinser said, “I am hopeful to see the progress of CUET. CUET’s memorandum of understanding with Malaysian universities can be a landmark. We can work together to take education and research forward.”

CUET VC Professor Dr Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem said, “I want to improve the university’s ranking and at least bring it to the Asian level. I want to ensure world-class education and research at the university. The hope is that we are getting cooperation and support from everyone, including the current government, in all our initiatives.”

Among others, Chattogram-2 (Fatikchhari) Constituency MP Sarwar Alamgir, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Prof Dr Kazi Delwar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Urban and Environmental Engineering Prof Dr Sudip Kumar Pal, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Dr Mohammad Abu Kausar, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Prof Dr Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning Prof Dr Muhammad Rashidul Hasan, and others were present on the occasion.
