
The Ministry of Railways has transferred and reassigned three senior officials of Bangladesh Railway, including the acting general manager of its Eastern Zone.
According to a notification issued by the ministry’s Administration-5 branch on Thursday, the changes were made in the public interest and took immediate effect.
Under the order, Al Fattah Md Masudur Rahman, currently serving as acting Additional Director General (Infrastructure) and also as project director of the Jamuna Railway Bridge Project, has been transferred to the post of acting Additional Director General (Development). He will continue to serve as project director of the Jamuna Railway Bridge Project as an additional responsibility.
Md Subaktagin, acting General Manager (East) of Bangladesh Railway, has been transferred to the post of acting Additional Director General (Infrastructure). He will be based at Rail Bhaban in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, Mamunul Islam, who was serving as acting Additional Director General (Development), has been posted as acting General Manager (East). He will perform his duties from Bangladesh Railway’s Chattogram office.
