National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam has said that his party may call a long march to Dhaka soon and the people should join the movement like they did on August 5, 2024.
"People are coming to us and sharing their problems as the government has done nothing to help the poor people. People are facing electricity, gas, and fuel shortages. Moreover, they can't get any jobs and are frustrated with the ruling government."
According to Nahid, the current government has miserably failed in running the country in the last six months and has failed to meet its promises.
He said these while he was delivering a speech at a roadside rally held at Paduar Bazar in Cumilla on Saturday (September 5).
"This is a six-demand based long march that we have joined today and possibly, we may call for a long march to Dhaka soon. Come to Dhaka just like you came on August 5, 2024," he added.
