Dilara Zaman clarifies housing rumor

Dilara Zaman, one of Bangladesh's prominent actresses, has clarified the far-fetched rumors about her house being invaded by tenants.
On Friday (September 4) a postcard of Dilara Zaman went viral on social media. Fans became worried after witnessing the card as it stated her house was taken over by her tenants.
The fake social media postcard stated, "I built the house on the land my father gave me, on a loan. To pay off the loan, I rented out the house. But I didn't get any rent. At one point, the tenants tried to take over the house. Right now, I live in a small rented flat."
The actress herself became surprised and at the same time annoyed, because the story was fake.
Media outlet on Friday afternoon asked her housing situation, for which she replied with a smile, "What a waste of human brains! They should think a little bit, then speak and write about anything. If your brain can't be used for good work, then how is it? What else can I say?"
However, the fake postcard of Dilara Zaman's house being occupied is not entirely false. Her house did get invaded, but that was 21-22 years ago.
Her house was occupied by tenants in 2003-04. She lived in Shyamoli of Dhaka at that time. It was her father's house. Tenants refused to pay back rent. Reports were published on media and it caught attention. After that, the housing situation resolved.
"In 2008, I sold that house, bought a flat of 1600 sq ft in Uttara and shifted there," Dilara Zaman added.
Despite her age, she still occasionally visits her two daughters who are living abroad. She seldom leaves the country as she is busy with her acting life and lives in that Uttara flat.
Dilara Zaman was surprised as why did this old incident resurfaced online after so many years.
