Bank Asia-BB launch month-long entrepreneurship development programme

Bank Asia PLC, in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, has launched a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme aimed at strengthening the skills and business capabilities of entrepreneurs across the country.

The programme is being conducted under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Development (SICIP) project, financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, under the overall supervision of the SME & Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.

The inaugural ceremony was held on September 2 at the Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development (BAITD) in Lalmatia, Dhaka.

Md. Masum Billah, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the programme. Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, and Mohammad Saifuddowla, Head of MSME at Bank Asia, attended the event as special guests.

Akhteruddin Mahmood, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of Bank Asia, presided over the programme.

The month-long training will cover key areas of entrepreneurship and business management, including business operations, management practices, financial planning, market management and strategies for business expansion.

The initiative is designed to enhance participants’ business knowledge and managerial capabilities, enabling them to run and expand their enterprises more effectively.

Organizers expect the programme to help entrepreneurs create new employment opportunities while contributing to broader economic growth and development in Bangladesh.
