
SINGRA, NATORE, Sept 7: Natore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sumoni Akter held a meeting with heads of different government offices in Singra Upazila on Monday.
The meeting was organised by the upazila administration at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom at 3pm.
At the meeting, heads of different offices highlighted various problems and prospects of Singra, known for its agricultural and fisheries resources.
Earlier, the DC planted trees on the upazila administration premises along with government officials.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Rifat.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nishat Anjum, Officer-in-Charge of Singra Police Station Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Khandaker Farid, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Engineer Khalilur Rahman, Social Services Officer Abu Daud, Secondary Education Officer Naznin Sultana, Primary Education Officer Abul Basar Shamsuzzaman, Women’s Affairs Officer Sumi Akter, Livestock Officer Tasriful Islam and Project Implementation Officer Mithun Kundu, among others, attended the meeting.
Earlier in the day, at around 10am, the DC visited the Singra municipal office and the upazila land office and spoke to officials and employees.
She later visited Singra Damdama Government Primary School and inquired about the studies of the young students. She praised their academic activities and encouraged them to continue their studies.
