Koel Mallick to make TV serial debut

Popular Tollywood actress Koel Mallick is set to make her debut in a television serial after more than two decades in films.

A Bengali serial based on a South Korean series is being made, with Koel set to play a role in it.

The serial’s title and director have not yet been announced. It is reportedly expected to air on Sony Aath, although an official announcement is yet to be made.

Koel, 44, has appeared on television several times as a reality show judge and hosted a talk show titled ‘Kotha O Kahini’. However, this will be her first television serial.

She made her film debut in 2003 with ‘Nater Guru’ and went on to act in several popular films, including ‘Bandhan’, ‘Neel Akasher Chandni’, ‘Prem-er Kahini’, ‘Mon Mane Na’, ‘Saat Paake Bandha’, ‘Dui Prithibi’, ‘Paglu’ and ‘Hemlock Society’.
