Student kills self at Baraigram

BARAIGRAM, NATORE, Sept 17: A college student committed suicide by hanging herself in Baraigram Upazila of the district early Thursday. 

Deceased Cynthia Rahman Kajal, 19, was the younger daughter of late Mizanur Rahman of Kalikapur Mahalla in the upazila and a class 12 student at Qadirabad Cantonment Sapper College.

The deceased’s relatives and locals said that Kajal was in an affair with a young man from China. They were supposed to get married after a few days. But they had an argument over mobile phone on Wednesday night. 

Family members found her hanging from the window grill on Thursday morning. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Baraigram Police Station Shafiqul Islam said that an unnatural death case has been filed.
