Major US television networks suspended joint White House pool coverage after the administration banned several news outlets, prompting the White House to promote its own 'Trump TV' stream.

According to a report by The Guardian, major US television news networks agreed to suspend video coverage of President Donald Trump after the administration banned journalists from CNN, MS Now, and Politico from White House grounds.

The collective boycott followed a federal lawsuit filed by the barred outlets on Monday, alleging that the administration's actions violated their First Amendment rights.

Networks including ABC, CBS, Fox News, and NBC joined CNN in withholding footage, marking a rare disruption in televised presidential coverage standard since 1950.

In response, the White House promoted its own online feed branded 'Trump TV', streaming administration highlights and live announcements directly to social media.

Due to the broadcast pool suspension, no media networks covered Trump's ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new White House helipad on Monday.

The White House provided its own live-stream of the helipad event, but presidential remarks were inaudible due to helicopter engine noise and lack of professional audio setup.

Trump announced the ban on Truth Social over the weekend, citing objections to negative news coverage and asserting that the restrictions addressed national security concerns.

Secret Service officers confiscated press passes from affected journalists on Saturday following the President's social media announcement.

Fox News Washington Bureau Chief Bryan Boughton, serving as TV pool chair, confirmed in an email to members that pool coverage of the President stands suspended.

Print, radio, and wire service pools continue delivering text reports, though news organizations like the Washington Post, New York Times, and Associated Press temporarily withheld presidential photographs in solidarity.
