Iconic trio from ‘CID’ set to return in ‘Papanasham’

‘CID’ — featuring Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava — is one of India’s most popular crime shows. For over two decades, the characters from the series have held a special place in the hearts of audiences. Now, several members of the popular team have reunited for a new crime series.

They are working together again on the crime-based series ‘Papanasham’. Dayanand Shetty announced the new series on his Instagram account on Tuesday (September 22).

He shared a video in which the star-studded cast introduces ‘Papanasham’ and shares some details about the series. At the beginning of the video, Shivaji Satam is heard saying, “The wait you have all been anticipating is finally over! We have started shooting for our new show in Mangaluru.”

This is the first time in a long while that familiar faces from ‘CID’ will be seen together again — but this time, in completely different roles and storylines.
