Meta’s Muse gets 2.8m downloads in 12 days

Meta’s AI-powered app Muse recorded 2.8 million downloads worldwide in its first 12 days, according to market analytics firm AppTopia.

In the US and Canada, Muse recorded 1.8 million iPhone downloads during the period, compared with 1.3 million for ChatGPT. Muse is available on both iOS and Android, while ChatGPT was initially launched only on iPhones.

Muse also had around 642,000 daily active users in the US, compared with about 231,000 for ChatGPT, AppTopia said. Among iPhone users, Muse had around 359,000 daily active users.

The figures are third-party estimates, as AppTopia does not have access to Meta’s internal data.

Muse’s growth may be partly linked to Meta’s social platforms. More than 95 percent of Muse users also use Facebook, while 63 percent use Instagram, according to AppTopia.

Meta has not yet released official figures on Muse’s user base.
