Vivo X500 series debuts with groundbreaking cameras, huge battery

Vivo has officially introduced its flagship X500 series, setting new standards in smartphone photography and power efficiency.

The flagship line includes three models: the vanilla X500, X500 Pro, and the top-tier X500 Pro Max. These devices deliver top-tier performance powered by MediaTek's latest Dimensity 9600 series processors. The Pro variants feature the cutting-edge Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC built on a 2nm process, while the standard model sports the Dimensity 9600M silicon. 

Display technology reaches incredible heights with this launch. The X500 Pro Max sports a massive 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a blazing-fast 144Hz refresh rate, while peak brightness reaches an astounding 4,400 nits. The compact X500 Pro packs a 6.36-inch 144Hz LTPO panel peaking at 4,500 nits, and the standard X500 features a vivid 6.59-inch 144Hz OLED display boasting 4,000 nits peak brightness. 

Mobile photography enthusiasts have a lot to celebrate. The Pro models lead the charge with a groundbreaking 200 MP periscope telephoto lens on the Pro Max, along with Sony Lytia main sensors and custom Zeiss T* lens coatings. Video creators get professional-grade tools, including 17 EV TrueDynamic Log video recording, 4K at 120fps 10-bit Log output, and 4K at 240fps slow-motion capabilities. 

Battery performance sees a massive leap forward across the entire line. The X500 Pro Max houses a colossal 8,000 mAh battery, while the standard X500 packs a generous 7,500 mAh battery. The compact X500 Pro carries a solid 6,510 mAh cell. All three models support lightning-fast 90W wired fast charging along with 40W wireless charging.

 

The series runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17, offering up to 5 major operating system updates. Additional key features include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, ultrasonic under-display fingerprint readers, Wi-Fi 7, and satellite connectivity support on select high-end storage variants.
