Dr. Anchal Roy dies of dengue, health minister mourns

Dr Anchal Roy, 30, an officer of the 42nd BCS (Health) cadre and Assistant Registrar (Neurology) at Mugda Medical College Hospital, died of dengue while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka on Sunday (September 27).
She breathed her last at around 8AM at Square Hospital’s ICU.
Dr Anchal, a graduate of Noakhali Medical College, had joined government service through the 42nd BCS. Her death has drawn condolences from colleagues and members of the medical community.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain expressed deep shock and sorrow at her untimely death in a condolence message on Sunday evening.
He said the healthcare community had lost a dedicated physician and prayed for the salvation of her departed soul. He also conveyed sympathy to her bereaved family, relatives and colleagues.
