Demon Slayer sequel may release in September 2027

A listing for an untitled Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll film has sparked speculation that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 could be released in September 2027.

Industry tracking website The Numbers lists an untitled Sony Pictures film for a domestic release on September 17, 2027, with an international release scheduled for September 15.

Fans have linked the listing to the second Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film because Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll distributed the first instalment internationally. However, neither company nor the anime’s production studio, ufotable, has confirmed that the listing is for Infinity Castle Part 2.

The second film is currently in production, but Crunchyroll has not announced an official release date.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is planned as a three-film adaptation of the series’ final arc. The first film was released in 2025 and later became available for streaming on Crunchyroll in July 2026.

The September 2027 listing could also refer to another Sony and Crunchyroll project, including the upcoming Solo Leveling film.
