Two more people have died with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from confirmed measles and related symptoms to 1,110 since March 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday (October 1).
The two deaths were reported in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, with one in each division.
Of the total deaths, 101 were confirmed as measles-related, while 1,009 involved people who died with measles symptoms.
Meanwhile, 1,214 new people developed measles symptoms in the past 24 hours.
Since March 15, a total of 192,863 people have developed measles symptoms, while 21,602 cases have been confirmed.
During the period, 170,877 people have been admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms, and 163,973 have recovered and returned home.
