A small plane crashed near Kafr Qara in northern Israel on Friday (October 2), killing one person and seriously injuring another.
The aircraft crashed in an open area beside Highway 65 and caught fire. Firefighters brought the blaze under control as it threatened nearby homes, while police temporarily closed the highway.
The injured man, aged 34, was taken to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa after suffering burns. The other person, who was trapped inside the aircraft, was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to Israeli emergency authorities.
The aircraft was reportedly on a training flight. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
