Bollywood actress and singer Shehnaaz Gill has opened up about rumours and negative headlines surrounding her, saying she understands that such stories are often published to attract views.In a recent interview, Shehnaaz said she is not particularly bothered by rumours, trolling or stories based on her statements. Instead, she prefers to deal with such situations with humour.She added that when one of her statements is taken out of context or a mistake in her words becomes a headline, she simply hopes the story brings some benefit to those who published it.Shehnaaz also spoke about her naturally humorous personality, attributing it to her Punjabi roots. “I don't do comedy, comedy happens. People find it funny and like it. I don't actually try to be like that; it happens naturally,” she said.The actress said she has never allowed others to dictate how she should speak, walk or behave in front of the media. According to her, people should remain true to themselves rather than changing their personality to meet others' expectations.Shehnaaz also recalled two separate encounters at an airport when people told her they wanted to meet both her and actress Shraddha Kapoor. She later learned that they saw a similarity between the two actresses, particularly their tendency to remain themselves and stay connected to their roots.“I have received so much love that sometimes I feel I must have done something right,” she said.Shehnaaz rose to fame through reality television and has since established herself in the Hindi and Punjabi entertainment industries.
