10 live cocktails found in biscuit carton in Tongi

Police recovered 10 live cocktails from an abandoned biscuit carton in Tongi, Gazipur, on Saturday morning. The explosives were found in front of local Chhatra League leader Nur Nabi’s house in Gutiara Andharul area under Tongi West Police Station.

Locals spotted the carton and alerted police after noticing objects resembling cocktails inside. Police cordoned off the area and restricted movement to avoid risks.

Later, a bomb disposal unit from Dhaka arrived and safely defused the cocktails.

Tongi West Police Station OC Md Arifur Rahman said police were investigating who left the cocktails there and why.
