Country-rock star Zach Bryan wore a “Free Palestine” T-shirt while headlining a concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Friday night, with two members of his band also wearing Palestine-themed jerseys.Bryan wore the shirt during the first of his two scheduled headlining shows at the stadium, which is owned by Robert Kraft. His drummer, Nate Head, wore a jersey bearing the name “Hind Rajab” and the number 5, while guitarist Noah Le Gros wore a green Palestine soccer jersey. Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl, was reported killed in Gaza in January 2024 after becoming trapped in a vehicle and pleading for help for hours. Head later shared footage of himself performing in the jersey on Instagram Stories, according to Variety. The appearance came after rapper Macklemore was removed from the opening slot on Ed Sheeran’s tour following his pro-Palestinian statements, including “Free Palestine,” at a previous event at Gillette Stadium. Bryan’s decision drew mixed reactions from fans on social media. Variety also reported that a statement circulating online and attributed to Bryan defending his stance was posted by a fake X account and was not genuine.
