British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cook paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening the historic and friendly Bangladesh-UK relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
They discussed trade and investment, economic cooperation, education, skills development, migration and human resource development.
They also exchanged views on continued UK support for Bangladesh’s economic development and expanding bilateral trade and investment.
The two sides expressed hope for further strengthening bilateral ties and opening new areas of cooperation.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir and relevant officials were present at the meeting.
