Two killed in bus-CNG collision in Ctg

Two people were killed and another was injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Satkania, Chattogram, on Wednesday night.

The accident occurred on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway near Noyakhal Pathani Pool.

The deceased were identified as Md Riyad, 20, and Rigen Chakraborty, 35. Pronoy Karmakar, 21, was injured in the accident. All three were passengers of the auto-rickshaw.

Police said the auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus coming from the opposite direction. The auto-rickshaw was badly damaged, and two passengers died on the spot.

The injured passenger was taken to a hospital. Police recovered both vehicles and took them into custody.
